Congratulations to Circa 1900 and Cebu’s very own Dexter Alazas for the successful fashion show held on August 7, 2016!
I was so glad to witness the Afternoon Tea Fashion Show in Circa 1900 Casa Dos last week together with other Cebu Fashion Bloggers. The theme was about the Art of Hablon created by a renowned fashion designer in the country, Dexter Alazas, which is part of his “Amano” Collection.
The fashion show featured a handful of Cebu’s Women of Today: these are the women who became prominent on their own fields. Two of the CFB (Cebu Fashion Bloggers) members, Jeancy Yu and Toni, also made their way to the runway, you can just imagine how proud I am for them =). Vina Guerrero, another distinguished blogger in the country now based in Manila, also graced the backyard runway. Her ever supportive beau, David Guison, was also there during the show… Do I need to mention that? Lol! And I was sitting next to him, seriously dude, do I really need to mention that as well? Haha!

From the local word “habol”, Hablon is a unique fabric made in Cebu, hand woven to create creative pieces not just in fashion world but also in the furniture industry. The proceeds of this show was intended to be used in purchasing weaving machines for the local artisans in Argao, Cebu.

You may visit the Alazas Atelier at the Ground floor of The Henry Hotel, One Paseo Maria Luisa Road Banilad Cebu City for more designs.
