Polkas

My apologies in advance for boring you with yet another summer look for the nth time now.

When you are in a tropical country, summer is always the flavor of the month regardless the weather. And yes, these photos were taken after a very strong rain. But I can’t help it, it still looks summery as it is =)

Well at least this time, I am trying to get away from the summer niche prints like florals and palm trees.

Here’s the thing, I am not a fan of polkas. I  usually see these prints in my granny’s closet decades back and it gave me a perception that polka dots are for old people, the same way I think of padded shoulders. But I do wear polkas on New Year’s Eve, it’s a lucky print after all.

So how did i end up wearing this coords?

I guess this polkas scream summer to me I just couldn’t resist its charm. My defenses crushed with the sight of the slit. And yes, this dress just reminded my mom how sexy she was with her pleated polka skirt at the prime of her youth during the seventies. I am my mother’s daughter after all =)
